We’re just over an hour away from our “Game of the Week” tonight as
we are on the road to Hartland High School for our very first girls
basketball game of the season as Eagles prepare to host

Hartland enters the game after winning in 33 regular season games
the streak was interrupted on Tuesday against Howell – and head coach Don Palmer
told me what he told his team after the loss…

“You just have to get over it. In basketball, you just don’t have time to pout because you have to play two games after that. In football, you have to live with that for a week. was the message, I don’t know if they took it or not. But I felt the better team won that night.”

Now, of course, Hartland got a lot of publicity and coverage
in recent years, and rightly so. But Brighton have been fair
behind them record wise after going 15-4 last year, and 21-3 in both
2018 and 2019 – and Bulldogs head coach Paul Ash explained how
it’s great to have two successful teams in the same county….

“It was fun. The kids are excited for these games. The fans are excited for these games. As coaches, we would like a few easier games, but that’s the way it is. Don is a great coach and he knows really how to use some good ball players up there”.

You can hear more from both coaches on my upcoming pre-game show
your way tonight at 6:40, then Dan Leach and I will get the call
at the top of the hour from 7am.

Other games across the county tonight in women’s basketball include:

Northville welcomes Salem
Howell on the road to Novi
Chelsea visits Adrian Lenawee Christian
And Pinckney bringing Monroe

On the boys side:
Howell welcomes Novi
Salem brings in Northville
Chelsea entertains Adrian
Pinckney visits Monroe.
And right now, Hartland take on Brighton.

As far as the NBA is concerned, the Pistons are back in action tonight as they
welcome the downtown Raptors and they’ll tell you right after 7.

And the NFL today released a list of its All Pro and Lions team.
had no players on the roster, making them one of three teams to be
exclude. The other two included the Giants and the Dolphins.
