Radio Station Removes All STEEL PANTHER After Playing “Glory Hole” On Air


LM Radio recently played “Glory Hole” on their station and fans were clearly not happy. The station quickly took to social media to issue the following apology, saying they never intended to perform steel panther and that all of the band’s music has been removed from their servers.

LM Radio broadcasts in South Africa and Rhodesia and bills itself as playing “the sweetest tunes from the 70s to today”. So I’m sure it was probably a little shocking when lyrics like “Honey, I don’t wanna know who’s sucking my dick today” and “I’m gonna blow my load at the glory hole, blow my load at the glory hole ” appeared.

“On behalf of LM Radio, I would like to apologize unreservedly for the song ‘Glory Hole’ by steel panther which aired just after 2 p.m. yesterday (Sunday),” the station said. “This song, along with others from steel pantherwas inadvertently saved to our server as a result of the cyberattack on our systems earlier this year.”

“When a time is scheduled at short notice, the system automatically includes songs to fill in the hour. ‘Glory Hole’ was unfortunately the system’s chosen song.”

“We immediately deleted ALL steel panther songs from our servers. I apologize once again for this and assure you that the content of this song does not resonate with who we are as a radio station and as individuals.”

steel panther had a very different reaction of course, which was mostly to laugh. Their the original post quoted the now-deleted statement from LM Radio, saying “They say, ‘We’re sorry.’ We say, ‘You’re welcome.'”
