Liberia: the management of the association of community radios threatened


A group calling themselves the concerned analysts movement Bong threatened serious legal action against Mr William Quire and the entire Association of Liberia Community Radio or the management of ALICOR if they refused to reimburse 50,000.00 US $ to community radio stations owed across the country. About 38 community radio stations across Liberia, in May 2011, signed an agreement with the Unity Party to broadcast jingles and messages, through ALICOR worth US $ 100,000.

But according to the chairman of the movement of analysts concerned Bong, Alieu Sackor, the balance of US $ 50,000.00 has not yet been paid to community radio stations despite several efforts by the management of ALICOR headed by Mr. William Quire. – also director of radio Gbarnga.
